HUBLOT CLASSIC FUSION TRIBUTO, A TRIBUTE TO ITS ORIGINS
Forty-six years after its founding, Hublot returns to its roots with the new Classic Fusion Tributo, unveiled in Milan. The collection revisits the design of the Swiss watchmaker’s very first timepiece, introduced in 1980, now reimagined in two versions crafted from yellow gold and white gold.
The story begins with Carlo Crocco, Hublot’s founder, who surprised the watchmaking industry by combining a gold case with a black rubber strap for the first time. It was a completely unconventional approach that challenged traditional notions of luxury and gave rise to what is now known as the Art of Fusion.
The new Classic Fusion Tributo preserves the original aesthetic, featuring a 38 mm case, a bezel with twelve screws, and a minimalist black dial without hour markers. Inside, however, lies a significant mechanical evolution. The quartz movement of 1980 has been replaced by the in-house HUB1711 automatic caliber, comprising 185 components and offering approximately 50 hours of power reserve.
The yellow gold version stays closest to the historic design, featuring a matte black dial with the MDM logo at six o’clock. Meanwhile, the white gold model introduces an elegant polished black onyx dial, complemented by black screws that enhance its striking contrast.

To mark the launch, Hublot also announced a donation of CHF 100,000 to Main Dans la Main, the foundation established by Carlo Crocco in 1998 to support humanitarian and educational initiatives.
The Classic Fusion Tributo revisits one of the most significant chapters in Hublot’s history, celebrating the original vision that forever changed the brand’s approach to watchmaking.
