M.A.D.2, new editions in red and black
With the development of MB&F, M.A.D.Editions has become a distinct way to expand the brand’s universe without repeating its established structures. The M.A.D.2 builds on that approach and, with the introduction of two new editions, further defines a language that now stands on its own.
The project once again involves Eric Giroud, whose influence is evident in a construction that moves away from traditional watchmaking codes, drawing instead from music and the visual culture of the 1990s. The logic of vinyl records and DJ turntables is not treated as decoration, but as a structural reference, shaping both the form of the watch and the way time is read.
The M.A.D.2 R&B edition is built around a direct combination of black and red. The dark surface of the baseplate emphasizes the rotating hour discs, which appear in red and define the reading along the periphery. The result is a visually compact piece, where each element has a clear function without unnecessary interference.

Access to this version follows the raffle system that has become characteristic of M.A.D.Editions. Over a limited period, anyone can register, with allocation carried out randomly under external supervision. Beyond the mechanism itself, this approach establishes a particular relationship between the object and those seeking to acquire it, where availability is not determined solely by purchasing power.
The second edition, M.A.D.2 REDemption, introduces a variation to that framework. It is reserved exclusively for those who have participated in at least four previous raffles without being selected. In this case, access is direct, without any random allocation. The piece reverses the color configuration, with a red base and black discs, and adds a dedicated engraving on the rotor acknowledging that prior engagement.

Both versions share the same architecture. The 42 mm stainless steel case features a rounded, continuous profile without sharp transitions. Inside, the bidirectional jumping-hour module developed by MB&F is built on the La Joux-Perret G101 calibre, beating at 4 Hz and offering a 64-hour power reserve.
Beyond the two editions, the M.A.D.2 continues to establish itself as a distinct project within MB&F. Not through pricing or positioning, but through the way it is conceived, from design to access, everything follows a single, consistent idea aligned with the broader collection.
