IWC BRINGS THE COLORS OF SINGAPORE TO FORMULA 1
Just weeks ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix, IWC Schaffhausen has introduced a new Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 created for the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team. It is the fourth official team watch since 2022 and arrives with a color combination never before seen in IWC’s Pilot’s Watches collection.
The centerpiece is a deep purple dial inspired by the Vanda Miss Joaquim, Singapore’s national orchid. Against this background, the numerals, markers and details appear in the signature PETRONAS green, while a purple rubber strap completes a look that is noticeably different from previous editions developed for the team.
The release was created specifically for one of the most recognizable races on the calendar. In October, Formula 1 will return to the Marina Bay Street Circuit, where the sport’s first night race was held in 2008. References to Singapore therefore extend throughout much of the visual identity of this new watch.

The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team features a 41 mm case made of grade 5 titanium, a material widely used in motorsport for its low weight, strength and ability to withstand high temperatures. The connection even extends to one of the most important safety components in Formula 1 cars, as the halo protecting drivers is also manufactured from a high-strength titanium alloy.
Inside is the automatic IWC-manufactured 69385 calibre, a column-wheel chronograph operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a 46-hour power reserve. The movement can be seen through the sapphire crystal case back, while the watch is water-resistant to 100 meters.
IWC has been the Official Engineering Partner of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team since 2013. Fourteen years later, the partnership adds another chapter with a chronograph that brings the colors of Singapore straight into the paddock.
