Rolex Renews Its Story at Wimbledon

From June 29 to July 12, the All England Club will once again welcome the world’s best tennis players for a new edition of The Championships, Wimbledon. As Official Timekeeper since 1978, Rolex returns to the sport’s most prestigious tournament, continuing a partnership that has become an integral part of tennis history.

This year, Rolex Testimonees Jannik Sinner and Iga Świątek return to Centre Court to defend the titles they won in 2025. Following one of Wimbledon’s most iconic traditions, Sinner will be the first player to step onto Centre Court, an honour reserved for the reigning gentlemen’s singles champion. The Italian described the occasion as a unique experience, admitting he never imagined he would one day open play on tennis’ most celebrated stage.

The relationship between Rolex and Wimbledon began in 1978 and has grown alongside some of the greatest names in the sport. Rolex Testimonees such as Stefan Edberg, Pat Rafter, Justine Henin and Roger Federer have all left their mark on the famous grass courts. Today, that legacy continues with a new generation of players, including Sinner, Świątek and Brazil’s João Fonseca, one of the game’s brightest young talents.

For Sinner, Rolex and Wimbledon share values such as tradition, elegance and a deep respect for tennis. Świątek, meanwhile, said returning to Centre Court as defending champion will carry special meaning, bringing her back to the place where one of the greatest dreams of her career became reality.
